UNESCO is launching a new tool to support policy-making based on research results from international social and human sciences.

The present version launched in November 2007 is running on a series of documents from the UNESCO Forum on Higher Education, Research and Knowledge. The tool will gradually publish more documents from various thematic areas related to social transformations and will also be regularly upgraded to offer improved support to decision-making.

Only countries with documentation in the database appear in the search tool, thus not every country is  listed.

Designed and developed under the aegis of the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Program, the service will provide customized access to policy-relevant material (case studies) according to specific locations (city, country, region) and/or themes related to social transformations (urbanization, migration phenomena, human rights, sustainable development, etc.)
